I am a writer and photographer, living in Los Angeles. As we navigate increasingly strange times, I find that certain questions come to mind more and more often: what makes for a good life? What makes work meaningful? How do you know you’re on the right track? Ever since I can remember, I knew that I wanted to love what I did for a living. I knew that I wanted to wake up and spend my time and my energy on people and activities that mattered to me.
As a member of a generation that the economy claims is lost, my life feels even more precious. We cannot count on our work to take care of us any longer. But we can spend our days doing things that matter and that take care of us. This is the story of my struggle to find my way through this maze. I interview those who have succeeded in this struggle, those who feel they have failed, and those who are still fighting the good fight.
Because all work and no play makes us very very dull, I also write about the things that matter to me and that I believe contribute to the best sort of life: food, travel, and beautiful things I think would make good gifts (either to give away or keep for yourself.)
You can write to me at caro [at] remabulous dot com. I’d love to hear your thoughts, and know what matters to you. Perhaps we can feature what you’re up to…
